This week we coached at Makiro (pronounced ‘Matcheero’), another of the primary schools in the town centre. As with the other schools in town, the class sizes were large, with P4 having 79 children. We had a long walk through woods to get to the pitch but the sessions went well. Despite an unfortunate event during the week which I will detail later, the school did us proud before we left, holding an assembly in our honour at which we were presented with certificates by the headmistress.
